The New York Yankee's Off Season

December 18, 2017

The New York Yankees last year were the sweet hearts of the MLB.  Everyone loved how young they were, and realized how much they over achieved considering their expectations. This year is completely different considering they got Stanton.  Now they are back to being the evil empire of New York and the whole MLB, using their excessive amount of money to reel in the best players in the MLB.  The Yankees lineup is scary with debatably the to two most powerful hitters in the MLB in Stanton and Judge.  Not only do they have Judge and Stanton, they also have Gregorious, and Sanchez.  This group of hitters cannot be matched by any other team in the MLB.  It is the ability for New York to pay their players more, which gets them all the all-stars they have.  The Yankees can possibly get Bryce Harper next year depending on how much they are willing to sacrifice and pay them.

The one weakness with the Yankees is there pitching, but with Severino they have a young starting point.  The Yankees will probably trade Sabathia because of how someone is going to be willing to pay a lot for him, and they can replace him with some one of much better value.  The goal of the off season is going to be to get a couple of veteran pitchers to be able to provide a solid stat line in the playoffs.  These veterans can also teach the younger pitchers they already have that are very talented such as Severino.  The only way the Yankees fall is if they pitch horribly and allow at least five runs.  If not, they will be hard to beat because they will score at least 5 runs a night with Stanton, Judge, Grigorious, and Sanchez.  There is no way all of them go cold, and even if they do hopefully the pitching staff can save them which is very possibly considering the veteran leadership they are hoping to get.

The Yankees are a solid team all around, and it will be extremely difficult to knock them off.  Unless any other team shows signs, the Yankees are heading back to become the evil empire of the MLB they once were.
